Today's Scripture

Isaiah 61:1.3 ~ The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me ~ to give unto them beauty for ashes, the vile of joy for mourning, the garment of praise, for the spirit of heaviness.

Next Episode .... {What's up this Week}

Well, 'this week' is finally coming.

One of My granddaughter's turns 9 on Wednesday ! Just had one turn 21 the end of last month.

You thought your babies grew up fast! Just wait - Them Grandbabies go from Just born to Graduation twice as fast! and there are at least 3 times as many of them, so when your running twice as slow - it's really hard to keep up - LOL.

ENJOY EVERY MINUTE WITH THEM!

We go to the appointment with his first surgeon on Thursday. We should get more information and maybe a few answers to some looming questions. At least we are hoping to find out the options and potential 'treatment' or 'repair'.

I'm also hoping she'll sign off the company medical form ; putting him on limited or reduced work. Since he's missing so much work because of this - it's pretty obvious that he technically 'can't work' in this 'condition'. Then when you add a surgery and recovery time...

I don't see him running any races any time soon.

It's going to be a busy week all the way around.

This Friday evening is our first time doing a 'pop up vendor' event in the 'Ten Trails community'. They are a part of our local neighborhood, a rather large new housing development still being developed. We're looking forward to meeting some of the other local vendors and neighbors.

I might even run into some of my old customers from working at the 76 Station. They're going to have a beer garden from what I'm told, so I think I know a few folks that will probably be there - LOL.

 Then of course -

This is FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND coming up!

Hopefully the weather will be in our favor so we can have a BBQ!

I hope you have the opportunity to spend time with Dad's and Grad's in your family this weekend. and Get to Enjoy a little summer sunshine if your lucky.

Meanwhile, once again I would like to thank the folks that have done a bit of shopping through the ads and links here at the Bright side of the Barn. We appreciate your patronage. I truly hope you enjoy your purchases and if you need to return anything for any reason, I'm here to help.
God Bless and Thank you again.

Can People Change?

  I love this subject !

Can people change?

I ask - "Change What?"

I grew up and I still hear it frequently today -
an old cliché

" A leopard can't change it's spots."

Which is true - But -

"A leopard can be taught to do things differently"

So, I again ask - "Change what?"

To say NO people don't change... you need to finish the sentence and specify what change your referring to.

It is no wonder folks can't get off drugs or stop drinking and poisoning themselves, quit being a thief, or even try to do better in school or at work
when they live in a society that is dead set on the fact that

"people CAN'T change"

and that sums up their entire opinion on the matter.

A very wrong opinion. No, people DON'T usually change basic demeanor's, mannerisms, or their own train of thought patterns.

{Train of thought patterns - remember that for the test}

Habits, routines, means of coping, choices of actions, likes and dislikes, wants, desires, and dreams can all help a person CHANGE things that in turn create change in ~

the Way they live and the way they act.

No - they are still the same person as a whole, but yes, they can be a very different person from within.

Which makes them 'different' to be around.

Usually this occurs

when someone 'changes their train of thought patterns.'

Old habits are always going to have an inner seed within us. New habits have to be good enough to overpower the old to make changes that actually stem long term.

Thus Causing the             'feeling of being a whole new person'.!!

So when we talk about people changing - before we condemn them to NEVER - NOT POSSIBLE, let's ask ourselves

- "CHANGE WHAT?"
