It's been a rough holiday season in some ways. Many of the friends I spend time with on a daily basis in years passed, have now passed away. From Thanksgiving to Just after the New Year. What was my best friend for many years, to the Best man at my wedding. Siblings are all gone but one, parents passed years ago.
There's a loneliness that overtakes you as you say good bye to so many of the people that made up the circle of your life. Soon I will be the last one standing, my brother is fading fast. Old friends have been replaced with new friends, some as old as I am, some older. We won't be around much longer either.
The circle of life. The memories. I don't know why people would rather remember the bad moments when there were actually many good times to cherish. I was blessed with some amazing children; it's been a privilege to watch them grow into the people they have become. To see my grandchildren grow up and start families of their own. Great grandchildren, something not many get to appreciate.
There has been a lot of 'bad' things happen, but the good times outweigh and shine bright. So many wonderful memories. Life is such a gift. Appreciate every day you get to wake up. Cherish the moments. Before you know it, your old! Babies are grown and your body starts slowing down.
Blessed by God
