Luke 6:38:
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap."

The Problem with Social Security

Every time you call the number for Social Security, you get a different person. Half of them don't speak English clear enough to understand. A third of the time the connection becomes static and you can't hear or they can't hear you. Not to mention it doesn't matter what time of day or what day of the week or what part of the month, you sit on hold for an hour to an hour and a half. Going in for an appointment is usually scheduled weeks out. Walk ins wait all day and hope to be seen.

I believe they should have a specific representative for each person. And there should be an email for the representative. So much could be done more efficiently and in a timely manner.

It took 27 months to get approved and now so far it's been 6 weeks waiting for back pay. First, they say 3-5 days, then it's 5-7 days then 10 days. On the last call we finally got an agent that went above and beyond and consulted with a technical advisor to help him write up a report to hopefully fix the problem whatever it happens to be. Only set back on that is now it's a 20 day wait.!!

My dad used to say the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing and boy does it feel like it now.

Understanding Infusions

I had to start having infusion treatments last month. The side effects were brutal. I'm just now getting back to 'normal' as far as being able to function. The lack of energy and ability on top of the pain. It didn't help I caught a head cold from being around the hospital. (sick people sharing sickness).

Not to mention the stresses regarding life, my health and just everything in general. If it isn't one thing it's another taking a toll on oneself and the mental well being.

God gives us opportunity to learn and to grow through trials in life. The struggles make us stronger. We are not promised an easy road in this life, we are promised He will show us a way through. Hard times Makes our faith stronger.

We tend to turn to God more-so when things are going wrong, or becoming a challenge. Perhaps that is why He allows us to endure such trials.

Patience is learned when we have to 'wait'. I firmly believe everything happens for a reason and everything is in God's time. Not ours. His plan is perfect whether we can see it or not. This life is a growing time, a place to learn. Eternity has so much more to offer to those who find themselves in the book of life.

I tend to be more quiet and keep to myself when I'm going through such trials. Focus on my Bible studies, prayer and the daily duties of life.

I wake up every day grateful to have yet another day. Knowing, there isn't going to be a whole lot more of them. Making sure all the loose ends are taken care of. Things completed. Being able to enjoy what's left of life. We can go at any time. AS we get older we know the time is getting shorter. You start looking at life differently. Especially when those you have known for so much of your life start passing away.

I've added a bit of information found on 'google' regarding infusions and the variety of reasons folks have them. Knowledge is power they say. Being informed helps us with understanding.

Infusion therapy is also used to manage osteoporosis, where medications administered infrequently (e.g., once or twice a year) can slow bone loss. These treatments, which may be bisphosphonates or other bone-modifying agents, are given intravenously to ensure maximum absorption and potency in the body. This controlled delivery ensures the medication reaches the bone tissue effectively to promote skeletal strength and reduce fracture risk.

Non-chemotherapy infusion therapy is used for complex, long-term conditions that require highly potent or targeted medications. Autoimmune diseases represent one of the primary areas of application, where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks its own tissues. For conditions like Rheumatoid Arthritis, Crohn’s Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis, infused biologics work by blocking inflammatory proteins, such as specific cytokines or tumor necrosis factors, to reduce inflammation and prevent disease progression.

Non-chemotherapy infusions are treatments that bypass the digestive tract without using drugs designed to indiscriminately kill rapidly dividing cells, which is the hallmark of traditional chemotherapy. These non-cytotoxic agents function by disrupting specific molecular pathways or cell-to-cell communication signals involved in a disease process. Instead of causing widespread cellular damage, this approach aims for precision, resulting in a more focused therapeutic effect with fewer systemic side effects.
