I've lost count on how many 'different' churches there are, and how many different ways a 'Christian' can get to Heaven.
It amazes me how so many 'religions' are formed based on 'one man's' interpretation of the scripture. More amazing is how many followers 'he has' behind him.
The scripture clearly tells us, there is only ONE GOD, Only ONE way, through JESUS CHRIST. Jesus didn't change the direction of His preaching as He entered each city. He preached and taught the same Word of God everywhere He went.
We are told many times in the Bible that the path to Heaven is narrow, whereas the path to Hell is wide. Many scriptures refer to ONE GOD, ONE CHRIST, ONE HOLY GHOST {or HOLY SPIRIT, as some say}. ONE WAY only.
Ephesians 4: 3-6 ~ endeavoring to keep the UNITY of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Luke 13:24 ~ Strive to enter in at the strait gate; for many, I say to you, will seek to enter in and shall not be able.
Matthew 24:4 & 5 ~ Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many.
And yet, we have hundreds of 'different' churches, preaching and teaching different things. Each one a great many followers?
Many are wealthy and hold great power in their communities, charge people for classes to learn the Word of God, before accepting them in their flocks. I personally don't believe Jesus ever charged an admission fee, to hear Him speak, or to learn His teachings.
Yes, He established tithes, for the churches to maintain their buildings and support their preachers, feed the Holy persons that do the teaching and preaching. He didn't establish it for them to become wealthy beyond the needs.
My Bible talks about the disciples taking nothing but basics with them, as they journeyed into the cities to speak the Word of God and the works of Jesus. He never told them to 'charge' people to attend.
The rich man was told to sell all he had and give it to the poor and needy. Warning us that the wealth of this world would not buy one's way into heaven.
We must ask ourselves ~ Are you sure you are on the right path? in the right 'church'?
Shouldn't they all be teaching the same thing? The one true way to salvation? Heaven?
How do we know? How do we find?
We pray, ask God, be true of heart that you are seeking God's way. God will lead you to where you should be. God will show you the one true Word of God. We were given the Holy Ghost for a reason. To be here and to guide us in the right directions. Faith believing and trust in the Spirit.
I'm sure many churches mean well, and believe they are on the right path.
You can find God in any church if you are truly seeking God. God will tell you if you are in the right place and sometimes, the wrong church is the right place to start.
If you are just going to 'feel better' or if you think you are buying your way into heaven, you are far from the door opening to paradise.
Search your own heart, Pray. If you are truly seeking to find God, He will be there and walk with you.
And please don't get judgy.
Don't try to tell others 'They are doing it wrong'.
Worry about your own salvation, be the light. If you have the Spirit of the Lord in you, people will see it, they will feel it and they will follow it or reject it.
Just worry about being the light and shining your brightest for God, He will do the rest.
Blessed by God
