I'm starting to disconnect and let go of the safety nets that have helped me get back on my feet. When negative things happen or your health fails; you lose alot of the confidence you had in yourself. Sometimes you forget who you are and what you are capable of doing. It's been a long journey, with weights pulling me down and setting me backwards. As I have cut the cords to the weights, letting go of the problems; I've grabbed hold of the safety nets. Now, finally feeling strong enough to stand on my own, I'm starting to let go of the safety nets. Prayer and asking God to help me get here, has resulted in God telling me to let go - and grab His hand instead. The future looks a little bit scary, but at the same time, as I cut each of the ropes, I feel a little bit stronger. A little more confident and with each step, a bit of success, and accomplishment. My prayers are being answered daily and my walk with the Lord deeper. Together we can do this! I'm looking forward to the day I can say 'I'm doing it' with no safety nets to fall back on.
