Yikes

I came home to find blood drops all over the barn. I checked the chickens and nobody had fresh blood...

Puzzling

I went back out to the barn to find miss Henny penny getting picked on. I picked her up and discovered she was missing a toe.

A nice warm soaking in the kitchen sink, some antibiotics and pain meds and she'll be chilling with me in the house for a while.

When chickens see blood they pick... That's why red heat lamps are used with baby chicks..
