Today's Scripture

Psalm 34:14
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

October 2, 2026

Welcome October

The weather changed instantly, fall is here! The leaves are starting to change color and will begin to fall any day now. It's the messy season. Rain will come more frequently now; the mud is starting to form.

It's the time of year to curl up with a good book or movie in front of a warm fire {if you are lucky enough to have a fireplace} A time to be grateful to be indoors not stuck out in the weather. Nobody should have to suffer out there in the winter time.

We haven't accomplished much in the line of weight loss however we have accomplished any further 'gain'. So I guess that is a plus. My disability is transforming over with Social Security the stress is now behind us, that helps with the weight as well. A steady income on a specific date will help me with the anxiety quite a bit. Which in turn helps me stay focused on the dieting.

I almost had a place closer to home for my horse, however too much pasture isn't good for her, so I am still looking for something closer to home. Her diet has to be consistent, and it hasn't been which is causing her tummy issues. That's bothering me quite a bit. She's my world and I hate it when she suffers. I'd like to get her closer and find a place with trails nearby. We only have a few good years of riding left and she enjoys exploring as much as I do.

Things are finally falling into place in a lot of ways. Just waiting for Tim to get settled so I can get his stuff moved out of the spare room. {it's cheaper than a storage and many things can't be out in the cold without getting ruined} I'd love to get my work room set up. Cleo his cat misses him terribly. She doesn't mind staying with me, but it's not the same. She connected with Tim years ago and as she's aging, I'd hate for her final years to be lonely. Not that I wish his mom to pass away, but I do wish they would get her settled into senior housing so he could get back to getting his own life in order. I'd like to finish getting my life on track.

Hard to believe it's October already. Not sure about the upcoming holidays. I spent my birthday alone I suspect I'll be spending Thanksgiving and Christmas alone as well. I'm not planning to dig out the decorations this year. Seems pointless. I'm hoping to avoid the depression and memory flashes that get me down every year. We shall see.

Lot's to do today been busy organizing and need to get the 'to do' list done. Time flys when your busy!!
