Tinnitus

There is actually a word for it. Have you ever heard of it before now?

It's only been in the last few months that I hear it constantly; it's one of the reasons I need some kind of noise like a movie going on to go to sleep. If it's quiet, the buzzing is louder. I don't like loud noises, because it hurts my ears. Considering I have this constant sound going on, it's hard to find peace and a happy medium. I know I'm not the only one with this condition, according to articles I've researched, there are millions that suffer from it. It does make it hard to rest. Hard to hear things, especially voices.

Is this something you suffer from as well? What do you do for peace?

Tinnitus: What Causes Ear Ringing and How to Treat it

Tinnitus is when you have noise present in your ears that others don’t hear. About 26 million adults in the United States have tinnitus, says Joy Onozuka, director of community engagement and communications at the American Tinnitus Association. For some, the effects of tinnitus are minor but for about 20 percent of those who have tinnitus, constant ringing in the ears can distract their sleep and concentration, and cause anxiety and depression.

It's enough to drive you crazy!
